Huntington Public Library is hosting a Volunteer Fair where a variety of organizations and interested adults can make a connection. Library staff often speak with active adults, some recently retired, who want to know about volunteer opportunities in the community. This is an opportunity to meet with representatives from organizations to discuss the work they do, the kind of volunteers they need, as well as your specific interests. A complete directory of participating organizations will be available before the day of the fair. Open to all.

The Great Give Back is a community service initiative involving all Suffolk County libraries. The mission is to provide opportunities for the patrons of our libraries to participate in meaningful experiences as a way to give back to their communities.

Some participants include:

“No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop

Huntington Public Library received a substantial rebate from PSEG for the LED lighting conversion project completed earlier this year. We thank PSEG for providing these cost saving initiatives to help us control costs while improving our facility for taxpayers.
