Why who makes much of a miracle? As to me I know nothing else but miracles, whether they be animals feeding in the fields, Or, birds, or the wonderfulness of insects in the air, Or the wonderfulness of the sundown, or of stars shining so quiet and bright, Or the exquisite delicate thin curve of the new moon in spring; These, with the rest, one and all, are to me, miracles. ~ Walt Whitman
Hello and happy spring to all! We recently partnered with Stony Brook University to offer a variety of services as part of their Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP). You can meet one-on-one with a student intern, under the supervision of a faculty member, in nursing, public health or social work. The interns will be available in both buildings on Tuesdays, at our Main location from 10:00 am – 12 noon and at our Station Branch from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. You may drop in during these times, or call them with questions or for a specific appointment. Please ask a librarian for details. You may call 631-216-8220 for an appointment or email: .
As we continue to offer many and varied programs and services, I’d like you to know how much I appreciate the support that you, our patrons, continue to give us. Please note that our upcoming budget vote and trustee election will be on April 7, 2020. I hope you will take the time to come out and vote that day. Please join us for our Budget Presentation and Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm in the Main Meeting Room..
If I can be of help to you in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at 631-427-5165, ext. 206 or email me at .
Wishing you all a warm and wonderful spring!
