Fall Update

joanne2

Hello to all! What a busy, but wonderful fall we are having. Library staff members have been out and about in the community and we've enjoyed seeing many of you at our various events. We participated in the Unity in the Community Day and made it to many of the schools' Meet the Teacher nights. We joined Snoopy at the Walt Whitman Mall to help promote Library Card Sign-up Month and enjoyed two beautiful days at the Long Island Fall Festival in Heckscher Park, highlighting our library's services.

On Saturday, November 28, the 6th annual Holiday Parade and Festival will take place in town. Please join us at the library before the parade for some holiday stories and a craft in the children's room.

Plans are still underway for the building renovations at our Main Library. Please stay tuned for an update. It is a long process to make this happen, but we are still plugging away at it. As soon as we have something concrete to share, we’ll let you know. With the retirement of our Senior Services Librarian, Nancy Freeman, we are combining our Senior Services with our Adult Services department. You will notice the programs are listed together in the newsletter under Adult and Senior Programs. If you have any questions about senior programs, please contact Thérèse Nielsen, Head of Adult Services at 631-427-5165 ext. 250, or email .

If you have any questions or concerns about the Library, please feel free to contact me at any time: 631-427-5165, ext. 206, or by email at .

I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and a Happy Holiday Season!
