Public Computers

Residents with a valid Huntington Public Library card as well as guests may use the public computers.

Computers at the Main Library and Station Branch provide Internet access, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet programs, and access to subscription information services via the Internet.

Computers are available in separate areas for adults, children and teens.

Users under the age of 18 need written permission from a parent/legal guardian to use the Internet. Permission is granted by signing the back of the child’s library card application.

Sessions are for one hour with a maximum of two hours per day.
 
Huntington Public Library patrons receive the first $1.00 of printing free.  After that, and for all others, it is .10¢ per page for black-and-white or.25¢ per page for color.

Fax

People are able to send or receive a fax at the Main Library (public fax number is 631-421-7133) and the Station Branch (public fax number is 631-427-5375). The cost per page, domestic or international, is .25¢. If receiving a fax at the Library, please be sure that you will be present. The Library is not responsible for any fax received while the receipient is not present.

Scanner

Use our free, high quality scanner with touch screen technology to easily scan, save, and share your photos and documents in a variety of formats, including PDF, Word, Excel, TIFF, JPEG or html. It is near the Adult Reference Desk at the Main Building.

 

Wireless Printing

Print from anywhere to our library!

Wireless printing is available to Huntington Public Library patrons! Print documents and web pages from your laptop to the Library's printer from home or from the Main Street or Station Branch libraries. The cost per page, black & white or color, is .25¢.


 
Printing From Your Laptop
Connect to the Internet. In your web browser, go to either www.printeron.net/ricoh/200864 (for the Main) OR www.printeron.net/ricoh/200865 (for the Station.) Enter your email address and select a document or web page to print. Then click the print button to submit your print job. You will receive an email with your release code to be used at the print release station to securely obtain your print job.

Printing From a Wireless Device
To print an email message or attachment from your wireless device, simply forward the email to ricoh200864@printspots.com (for the Main) OR ricoh200865@printspots.com (for the Station.) You will receive an email with your release code to be used at the print release station to securely obtain your print job.

Retrieving Your Print Job
To retrieve your print job, simply go to the hotspot printer located by the Customer Services Desk at the Main Library or by the Reference Desk at the Station Branch, and enter your release code to release the print job, following the instructions printed on the key pad. If you have any questions, please ask our staff at either the Adult Reference Librarian Desk, Youth & Parent Services Desk, or the Customer Services Desk.
